Actually, I was shocked that $4 BILLION DOLLARS didn't BUY "ALL" the available seats! Those billonaires SHOULD HAVE spent at LEAST a few MORE billions!

How much IS a BILLION dollars?

http://www.i69tour.org/billion.html

OR, a BETTER perspective is:

a.)If we wanted to pay down ONE billion dollars of the US debt, paying one dollar a second, it would take 31 years, 259 days, 1 hour, 46 minutes, and 40 seconds.

b.)About ONE billion minutes ago, the Roman Empire was in full swing. (One billion minutes is about 1,900 years.)

c.)About a billion hours ago, we were living in the Stone Age. (One billion hours is about 114,000 years.)

d.)About a billion months ago, dinosaurs walked the earth. (One billion months is about 82 million years.)

e.)A billion inches is 15,783 miles, more than halfway around the earth (circumference). The earth is about 8,000 miles wide (diameter), and the sun is about 800,000 miles wide, not quite a million

######################

And, the Republican corporations were SO DESPERATE to get back into control and ruin the accomplishments of the Democrats FOR the Middle Class in this country, they spent FOUR BILLION DOLLARS!!

Now, is THAT "DESPERATE", or what?? And THIS was only a MID-TERM election!! It's past time for some of you simple brains to start to THINK before they succeed and there IS no MIDDLE CLASS any more. What they want is to have:

THE RICH

and

THE POOR!!

Wise up! It is NOT a childhood bully fight, kids. You are playing with the BIG DOG con artists now, who twisted your minds with those expensive lies!!

It's what happens when democrats are unmasked and revealed to be followers of late 19th century socialist political thought

Progress left "Progressives" behind

Swamp partially drained. Some of the creatures managed to hang on to driftwood.

Telnaes: nice touch with the health care insurance lobby towel.

Dems look on the bright side you still have a bunch of radical liberal democrats running Washington DC and if you noticed today just about every escalator in the Metro system still didn't work today.

The Democrats have only themselves to blame. They allowed the GOP, shady news programs and special interest groups to set the agenda, stall or modify their programs and mislead the public. Now we are in the horrible position of having a gridlocked government when we need legal, immigration, economic, health, safety and environmental reform. Time is running out on so many issues that this game can only do damage to our image, lives, property and security. The GOP is responsible for creating gridlock, The news agencies are responsible for creating fear, mistrust and confusion. The general public is responsible for believing a great deal of crap.

Here's how I read last night:

Dear Democrooks: you strayed too far to the left and failed to deliver on your promise of openness.

Dear Republirats: your only mandates are to listen to the people and deliver on the openness, or we'll boot your butts in 2012 too.
