If the Republicans are able to repeal or modify the health insurance paradigm, they are in danger of owning it. It would become “Bohner-Care.”

Here are some slogan ideas:
“Bohner-Care: the best health reform that money can buy”
“Bohner-Care: why fix health insurance? Mine is fine.”
“Bohner-Care: liberalism is a deniable pre-existing condition”

Democrats were the party of slavery and now the part of socialism. The Democrat masters out in California just passed a law forbidding kids from getting toys at McDonalds unless they order a Democrat approved Happy Meal, but have no problem legalizing drugs.

The GOP is run by simpleton selfish people. Every man is an island in GOP America. Make it big or inherit wealth and you are set for life. With money, few of life's problems are insurmountable. The common good means everybody chips in to pay for stuff that everybody uses. The GOP opposes the common good, which can range from road repair to health care to national defense (offense in the case of Iraq). Why does the GOP hate health care reform? Because it limits the degree of profitability of health insurance companies. Hence the executives at health insurance companies won't be seen as often at the country club. Nor will they be able to pull the rug out from under insureds as readily as before. The GOP operates at the mental level of a sociopathic 14-year-old male who would enjoy dousing a kitten with gasoline and setting it ablaze. Big laughs there.

Yes, they are, "lufrank1" and others who have paid attention! We need to get some [political science classes or something into the high school curriculum, or, better yet, some type of education so people learn HOW to THINK, like a "Critical Thinking" class. It is sinful that we have so very many non-thinkers in our country who are just putty in the hands of the degenerate subversives!

If you have ever read a post from a person who has lived in a country with hard times, they ALL appreciate the accomplishments the Democrats have achieved for our democracy! But, hard times have TAUGHT then HOW to think!

Remember the quote of one of our great forefathers: "All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing."
Edmund Burke

The ignorance revealed by too many in these blogs is ALMOST unbelievable! However, these people just had the onslaught of $4 BILLION dollars worth of lies and propaganda smears, and they BELIEVED it all! How sad that our country has so many of THAT kind of deceit, and these victims haven't watched enough C-Span or visited Congress.gov enough that they don't even KNOW the facts! All they've ever listened to are the SPINS and the hateful perversions.

However, ANN is brilliant, as usual! She obviously has figured out the factual side of the story. What a gifted young lady!

Sigh! So many Fox brainwashed people who just can't understand that the GOP (and Supreme Court Majority) is literally OWNED by Corporations (Koch Brothers, Exxon, Halliburton, Aetna, US Chamber of Commerce, all of big Oil, Gas, and Coal and ALL Pharmaceutical and Health Care Insurers)?

How is it possible for ANYONE to be SO stupid to NOT understand that the current Health Care Plan is at least a SIGNIFICANT first step toward breaking our enslavement to our Billionaire Owners?
GEEZE! So Many Many Many ignoramuses!
Madness! Sickening!

I agree. Some of their political views would make sense if we were not dealing with these thieves (Big Business) who are manipulative and only concerned about their short term gains and not really caring too much about the rest of us on so called "Main Street." If I saw a republican put up a fight in favor of serious financial reform, I would be very surprised and supportive.

Do you want your loved one to be the first person to die at the hands of an Obamacare death panel? The vast majority of Americans don't want that either thus the reason for the biggest change of power in a non presidential election year in modern history.

---------------------------------------

And we're still waiting for the GOP to show us the "death panel" verbiage.

We're also still waiting for:

- the GOP to show us the "weapons of mass destruction",
- the mysterious "fiscal responsibility GOP" to show up -- after they've been responsible for 65% of our national debt
- the mysterious "family values" GOP to show up after the binge of serial adultery by them.
- the "Christian GOP" to show up and help AMERICANS who need health care -- not BS for BIG PHARMA and the health destruction industry.

Ah contraire, what you forgot that the GOP set up the Medicare Advantage planA(supplemental to traditional plan which is still intact) using taxpayers' money which translated to 114% of the premium cost. So in your word we are paying in excess of 14% for the plan that gives away freebies(gym membership and so on) at the cost of $800 per month that most of us pay out of our pocket for lot less.
Typical blame without the facts.

I'll go with the Socialist on this one.

What nonsense the GOP hacks hustle. 30 years of Reaganomics has given us trillion dollar deficits and 13 trillion in debt. That's the record.

It also gave us healthcare leaving 40 million uncovered while putting an incredible 17 percent of GDP toward medical care. It helped make American business economically uncompetitive. We've borrowed these trillions while cutting taxes for the wealthiest and while letting the middle class decline.

The GOP has only one plan: Get rich while letting the majority of Americans struggle to stay healthy, employed and perhaps retire without enough to get along when the rich tire of paying them minimum wage. Oh, they'd also like to repeal the minimum wage too.

REpublicans say, "less government, less debt"

"Just look at our record, under the last Republican administration, we only hired only about 600,000 new government employees and only added $5 trillion in debt."

"The American people want jobs. We can help. We'll hire another 600,000 into government and only have to borrow about $6 trillion---"

"Less government, less debt"

Too bad we can't repeal all those over expenditures that have taken place the last 20 years that has left our government so far into debt!!!! Money spent never to be recovered.

"Do you want your loved one to be the first person to die at the hands of an Obamacare death panel?" Really? Come on, you're smarter than that. You know that there are no death panels. But too many of us have died because an insurance company decided that an expensive operation or treatment to save the life of one person just wasn't worth it to their bottom line. Who would you prefer was making the decision about which of your medical bills would be paid: some government clerk following the rules enacted by Congress or some health insurance company clerk who is paid to deny claims? I'll go with the government clerk every time!

The Democrats gave the GOP this issue because they designed a complicated and easily manipulated law. The special interest and politicians saw it as a challenge to their power and bottom line. The Democratic leadership failed to clearly explain the law's benefits and delayed much of its implementation. Therefore misinformation, lies and fear filled the void. If successful any repeal or undercutting of the law will only lead to sickness, misery and death to those who cannot afford the American medical system, and the profits of the health care industry will increase.

Republicans - a bunch of pre-neanderthals - Actually, I understand that the Neanderthals were a caring, sharing species much different from most of those bipeds who currently make up the population of the United States.

Someone wrote in another thread:

There are indeed death panels. They're called insurance companies.

If you had actually read the legislation you would know that there were no "death panels" included. It was all made up to incite distrust, and you bit hook line and sinker.
