****************
Why do you always write the most nonsensical crap? Tell us which of your two ignorant accusations of liberals has any truth and prove your point. Not your uneducated mouthings, but proof. More weaponry has been sold to our enemies by Republican Presidents than any Democrats. Note all the photographs of Rumsfeld, Cheney, Bush, REagan handing over weapons of war to those terrorists in the middle east. Where were your bloodshot eyes when Rumsfeld was shaking hands with Saddam Hussein as he sold him our weaponry? How about Reagan's Iran/Contragate in direct opposition to the U. S. Congress, but of course his alzheimers made him do it. You hillbilly toughguys who never chose to defend this nation in uniform all have big mouths about who to bomb, but you are not the ones who pay the price for your ignorance. Our President is trying prevent nuclear war you idiot, not sell it like the Republicans have. Liberals are not the ones who are warhawks, like the chickenhawks who invaded Iraq. If Cheney are lil Bush ever had to stand in a battlefield in the middle east they'd crapped their pants. Go back to drinking you beer because it obviously has fashioned your ability to think coherently. fritz

oldhat & billybeer6

You two need to quit reading Texas School board revisionists' false/ultra-right "history" books, and swallowing the crap in Bush's "Liberry".

Ms. Telnaes' cartoon is, in a word, TRUTH!

Gee whiz Ann, your not getting much love today. I think most of the "trust me" people have already left the building. He truly has the magic touch. Everything he touch's, just like in that good old Blazing Saddle's tune, turn to sheet.

Good point Ann...
The Republicans have forgotten that nuclear fallout lands on the Republicans as well as the Democrats.
They want to rule the world so that they can turn it to ashes.

lufrank1 thinks McConnell & Kyl are downright TRAITORS because they think all russia rockets should be counted and verification should be included after all if we can not trust the russians who can we trust

%#%#%#%#%#%#%#%#%#%#%#%#%#%#%#%#%#%%#%#%#%#
Geeze! Talk about ignorance. It is the STARK treaty which will put inspectors back into Russia to count their missles. It is your heros, McConnell and Kyl who want to START the $#@@**&& Cold War again.
Geeze! Astounding Ignorance!

Democrats grope citizens in the airports but sue Arizona when they want to verify legal status.....

....now they want a Treaty?

If Obama supports it then it must be a bad deal for America

Nobama 2012

No Lame Duck Decisions

The TRUTH illustrated effectively, as usual.
Thank you, Ms Telnaes!

McConnell and Boehner have CLEARLY stated that their SINGLE, FOREMOST AGENDA is to block EVERYTHING that Obama and the Dems attempt and Bring OBAMA down.........
Hey Dummies - - - They are saying that the GOP must stand fast to PUT their POLITICS above National Security, above REAL health reform, above FAIR taxes, etc. ad nauseum.

I remember the "good old" A-Bomb threatened 50's. I (and many others) can tell you that it wasn't any fun to be out 100-200 miles in Atlantic Ocean fog tracking Russian Submarines, which were especially active during Christmas Holidays'

Bottom Line: McConnell & Kyl are downright TRAITORS!

The debate between Obama and the Republican leaders about the START Treaty always makes me think of Cleavon Little's line in Blazing Saddles, "you'd do it for Randolph Scott."

Sure, Mr. Obama may not be the living up to his promise when he was running for the Democratic nomination and the election; but what is one to make of the Republicans whose main driving force, however masked, is that they will not accept that a Black person has been elected President. Racism, closet and overt, drives that party, and drives the forces of darkness throughout the United States.

@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@

Stop with the racistcrap already. Everyone is tired of hearing it. Just for one example.
If obama doesn't trust me reading his school records (what the heck is he hiding?) then I don't trust him being the leader of my country.
Where do you see anything about racism in there?
Stop using the racism card as a crutch. Stop being a race sissy.
I don't like his agenda.
Period!

"Democrats plans rough up citizens at airports and make nice with the Russians. Why not fly down and visit Hugo Chavez while you're at it?

Pretty weak response. Truth hurts, eh, teatardlican drooler?

Posted by: Observer691 | November 22, 2010 10:48 AM | Report abuse

The only reason the GOP is playing with the Treaty and other vital national and international issues is 2012. They played the same game in 2010. They would sacrifice our debt, security and stability to win the Senate, Presidency and maintain the House. This is raw politics and is not what the public wanted in the last election.

Posted by: MyVoice3 | November 22, 2010 10:09 AM | Report abuse

So called conservatives have no real interest in the treaty as they have no foreign enemy involved with which they can beat up democrats as weak on defence by opposing it. Since they have no ideological interest in limiting nuclear weapons, they will play political football with it to pretend Pres. Obama is short changing our own modernization and upkeeping programs and then ratify it. Whatever.

Aww, no aftermath scene?

Be great to see the smoldering rubble left behind by this game of keep away.
