what is sad is that he is a MAJOR improvement

Oh, Boehner can cry like a sissy when he thinks of his own past as a poor child, but where are his tears for the increasingly poor youth of today? No wonder his wife won't live with him in DC. I would hang my head if I had to be in public with this man when he begins that quivering bottom lip show.

This is a person about whom it is very difficult to find language that is not abusive.
One has to fear for the future of the country and the world with such as this in charge.

Rep Boehner can cry all he wants as long as he goes for a real tax cut in 2011 and repeals Obamacare and then he can sit back and watch all the Democrats cry.

Telnaes' cartoon is a real crock of drek. Cry Baby Boehner may be good for a few laughs for some juvenile cartoonists to demonize the other side, but he will presumably be the new Speaker in a few weeks.

The GOP should certainly look around their new majority and select a better communicator and someone who is less a pawn of the establishment.

Boehner, man up a bit or strike that, a lot.
Good thing you did not have a tank, may have pulled a DeKaukis.

The guy is unstable - he's going to be 3rd in line for the Presidency if Obama and Biden are incapacitated. Gads!!! Would you want that guy's finger on the nuclear button. He's full of himself.

No, I think he is crying for the Americans who choose not to buy health insurance because he and his relatives and neighbors in Ohio will have to pay for health care and or...their hospitals will close for lack of funds for those non insured emergency room visits!

On a brighter note his tears are far better than his spittle flying "Hell No!" on the House floor.

Straightline must be using RNC computers.

Love it!!! Big old disingenuous tears from that bloated windbag!

I agree with Levia - the crocodile should have the painted-on tan. He should also be blowing golf balls out of his nose; and when he takes his handkerchief out of his pocket a huge wad of PAC money should fall out along with the jar of Vicks-Vapo-Rub he borrowed off of Glenn Beck.

BTW, "Straightline" -- Nancy Pelosi didn't cry because she's an adult.

What a Bonehead Bonner is. As long as the Repubatards can stop the US from recovering and keep the faggs out of the Military, they are laughing, ops! I mean crying all the way to the Corporate Banks.

Ahoy! Straight-line .....

Boehner cried and CLAIMED (as an MD) that he could tell that brain dead Terri wasn't really brain dead by use of his X-ray vision of a VHS tape of her face. Perhaps his x-ray "professional" vision was clouded by his politically motivated Crocodile tears at the time.

Indeed, Straight-line, Vaudevillians like McConnell and Boehner can fool some of the people ALL the time, but TRUTH is ...
Those Two Charlatans are, in a word, AMORAL!

Accolades Lady, Great animation, reminds me of the Great Walt Kelly’s Albert Alligator.

Boo hoo. We have a bunch of venal dry drunk John Birch Society lunatics in control of the house - mother of mercy, these deluded bullies do more crying than little girls.

Posted by: jKO2010 | December 13, 2010 3:03 PM | Report abuse

Riiiiight, Straightline. Whatever. Let's remember that the Republicans are the party who used withholding unemployment benefits to millions of people if they didn't get their way. As if that's real indicative of a party who "cares" about the common people. If you believe that, you are more crazy than Boehner and his heartless cronies.

Great cartoon- hope its one of many poking fun and revealing the what a selfish pig and hypocrite Boehoner really is!!!

Excellent as usual, Ann! Thank you. That was also my impression, EXACTLY, Crocodile tears! They didn't seem genuine at all, more like a guy who's losing it on his way into senility. But, one thing I HAVE noticed about large families is that the siblings tend to be VERY selfish because they had so very little as youngsters, this being a Republican suits him to a "T", as they are ALL very selfish, greedy, and unable to feel any empathy! Such labile emotions, though, are definitely NOT a healthy premonitory symptom, and should be heeded by the party!

LMAO, what a day glow orange wuss. Never saw Nancy cry. Pathetic excuse for a man.

Ann -

This is just plain mean-spirited. It contributes nothing worthwhile.

Boehner crying was too gay

Posted by: pdq2 | December 13, 2010 1:09 PM | Report abuse

When I watched that performance by that hard drinking, hard smoking, womanizing idot and conman, I just wanted to puke. Boehner could care less about anyone but himself and doing the bidding of his corporate master. Boehner is as dirty as yesterday's laundry and everyone knows it. Today's performance is tomorrow's very public and messy divorce.

Posted by: insider9909 | December 13, 2010 1:05 PM | Report abuse

Could you be any more disingenuous Telanes?

Boehner cried because he is overwhelmed by the message that was sent in November by the American people.

You will never see the power hungry ideologue Pelosi cry, she is void of human emotion.

There is nothing of value for America in the so called Obamacare bill and the people know it.

Thankfully you and WAPO will be even more irrelevant after the next election.
