We continue our our backwards march into the primordial ooze. After at least 300 years of American citizens and legislators going about their daily business unarmed, the GOP wants everybody to pack heat wherever they go. What's next? Body armor?

Capitol Hill is dangerous. Those people in Tucson were killed outside a Safeway, and there's one of those on Kentucky Avenue.

Allowing Congressmen (woman)and Senators the right to carry guns in DC and the Hill will not solve or prevent a problem but will insure the likelyhood of an even greater disaster.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

You know this is said every time a state allows concealed carry and so far it has been nothing by hyperbole from the anti gun crowd.

Did the parents of Louie Gomer know they were bringing a moron into the world? What a perfect name for a moron. Louie Gomer.

Atleast some Congressman have some sense of responsibility for self preservation.
You can't leave your safety up to a police officer to be present all the time to protect you. It's not going to happen. At best police will be there to mop up the crime scene after your dead.
Just think, the next time some deranged psycho decides to freak out, you maybe present.
Maybe we should re-think the absurd and profile these nut cases before they legally by a firearm.

I am not sure why anyone thinks this is a big deal; most states have concealed carry permits and CCW holders are not killing anyone.

It would be laughable if it weren't so sad. Louis Gomer ought to be an embarassment even to his state of Texas and most assuredly his district. Surely they can find someome better suited to represent their great state. Ms. K. B. Hutchison, help please! Beat the bushes and find some worthy Texas Republican to oppose this, I can't find words to describe, Texan in the U.S. Congress.

Boy! If the Rep's and Sen's can carry guns into their chambers then they could have gun duels. I'd even pay to see that. They could have it on national T.V. - prime time of course.

Ann, it looks like you got this one mixed up with your Pelosi cartoon. Did she get another face lift?

Bet my congressman's gun is going to be bigger than your congressman's gun? Jim Webb is probably already packing heat.
