College Tour '10: New York University #2
NEW YORK, NY
New York University
From a parent
My daughter and I planned to see New York University in the morning and Barnard College in the afternoon.
We pulled up to NYU in a cab, my daughter looked around, and said, ‘Let’s not even get out of the cab.’
She wants to go to college at a school with a campus, and NYU has no campus. It’s pretty obvious right away. If you want to go to a traditional school, NYU wouldn’t be for you. If you like the idea of being in a city and don’t care, then it could be great.
We didn’t get out of the cab, and told the driver to take us right to Barnard, to see if we could make the morning tour.
This is one in a series of reports that parents and students are contributing about their campus tours this spring. If you have visited a school and would like to participate, email me a brief report at theanswersheet@washpost.com. You can find out more about College Tour ’10 and how to write about your college visit here.
