College Tour '10: Skidmore College
SARATOGA SRINGS, NY
From a parent
Not everybody may have heard about this school but we were really impressed. It was warm and welcoming. It felt very low-stress, but they have everything you want in the way of academic programs. Everyone was friendly. The town was adorable.
The campus is gorgeous. It’s up in the [foothills of the] Adirondacks. The facilities are phenomenal, set in the woods. It seemed very flexible academically; kids can go there and figure out what they want to do. There’s a huge array of majors.
And for my child the size was good, about 2,400. That’s a little bigger than the high school my [child] attends.
This is one in a series of reports that parents and students are contributing about their campus tours this spring. If you have visited a school and would like to participate, email me a brief report at firstname.lastname@example.org.
