Montgomery, Anne Arundel schools to close Wednesday
Attention parents: Winter break is beginning early in greater Washington, including Montgomery County.
My colleague Nelson Hernandez reports:
Montgomery County schools will be closed Wednesday, officials announced Tuesday morning, joining the tide of area school systems that have shut down for an extended winter break after the weekend snowstorm.
For students in Montgomery and Prince George's counties, Southern Maryland and Northern Virginia, this week's cascade of snow-closure days means that school will not resume until January. D.C. students were already off this week for winter break. Decisions on Wednesday classes were still pending Tuesday morning in Howard and Anne Arundel counties.
UPDATE at 12:20 p.m.: Anne Arundel has announced schools will be closed Wednesday.
