Teachers cover Lady Gaga's 'Bad Romance'

By Valerie Strauss

Here's one unusual way that teachers at Holmes Middle School in Alexandria, Va., decided to end the school year.

This week some teachers treated kids to a dance performance of Lady Gaga's huge hit "Bad Romance." The educators donned semi-Gaga attire for the dance, performed as part of a talent show in the school's cafeteria.

"The kids were so excited," parent Christine Haber told Fox 5 news. "They knew the teachers were going to perform at this event, but it was much better than anyone could have ever anticipated."

"Bad Romance" has an undeniably catchy tune, but maybe the teachers should have had a seminar afterword to interpret the lyrics. Here's one of the stanzas:

"I want your psycho
Your vertical stick
Want you in my rear mirror
Baby you're sick
I want your love
I want your love."

On second thought, maybe it's better not to parse the lyrics.

All I saw were teachers being human and having fun. Not the worst image their students could have.

i love it! but Ms. Strauss, you have the lyrics wrong.

"I want your PSYCHO
Your VERTIGO shtick
Want you in my REAR WINDOW
Baby you're sick
I want your love
I want your love"

and those that i captialized are actually referrences to Alfred Hitchcock movies. just letting you know! but i loved the video! and i love Lady GaGa!!
