Gopnik's Daily Pic: Elad Lassry at Luhring-Augustine

"Woman (Painting)," one of a suite of new photos by Elad Lassry, an Israeli-born Los Angeles artist who has been making waves, now showing at Luhring-Augustine gallery in New York. Lassry achieves the strangest mix of vintage advertising gleam and off-kilter subject matter.
