O's Proefrock Joins World Champs
Philadelphia Phillies general manager Ruben Amaro Jr. tapped into the Baltimore Orioles front office to complete his staff on Monday, hiring Orioles director of baseball administration Scott Proefrock as Philadelphia's new assistant general manager.
Proefrock spent the last three seasons assisting the Orioles with player contract negotiations and rules interpretations. Prior to joining Baltimore, he spent 11 seasons with the Tampa Bay Rays. He also made front-office stops with Pittsburgh and Atlanta.
Proefrock will rejoin a longtime colleague in Chuck LaMar, the Phillies' assistant GM of player development and scouting.

"Let us go then, you and I,
When the evening is spread out against the sky
Like a patient etherised upon a table"
Oh wait, that's Prufrock.
