Day 6: Around the Horn

Free agency began six days ago, and we're still waiting for it to warm up. Sort of like the Washington weather. Here are some articles I found while trolling the interweb.

Former Post sports writer Richard Justice -- one of my favorite people, period -- writes that Astros Jose Valverde and Ty Wigginton must go.

The Tigers are among the teams interested in Japanese pitcher Junichi Tazawa, according to the Detroit Free Press via Kyodo News. Atlanta, Cleveland and Seattle are also apparently interested.

The Brewers haven't heard from CC Sabathia's agent yet.

The White Sox are moving -- from Tucson to Glendale.

Twins reliever Pat Neshek will miss the 2009 season after having Tommy John surgery. (Shouldn't Tommy John get a royalty check every time we refer to Tommy John surgery?)

This is a little old, but the Dallas Morning News' Evan Grant explains why he left Dustin Pedroia off his AL MVP ballot.

Thanks, Brian. I'm not finding it anywhere YET but I'm looking! That would be good for the woebegone Royals, the team of my childhood.
