Update: Markakis Deal IS Done

UPDATE: According to the Baltimore Sun's Jeff Zrebiac, the deal is, in fact, done now. It's for six-years, $66 million, and will be finalized when Markakis takes his physical later this week in Baltimore.

A quick update on the Nick Markakis extension situation: The Baltimore Sun's Peter Schmuck is reporting that, "the deal is essentially done" and just needs a signature of approval and passed physical from Markakis to finalize it.

The contract terms are still the same that were being reported by Schmuck and both Jeff Zrebiez and Dan Connolly yesterday, for six years and $64-66 million.

If anything is finalized today, we'll definitely let you know. Until then, keep posted. Yes, that's a bad pun. Sorry. It won't happen again (actually, I can't guarantee that, but there's hope, right?).
