Perhaps he's showing them the fillings where the strange radio transmissions come through. Hope he's got some tinfoil under that cap.

Brad Penny demonstrates how an earworm bug entered through the aural canal and wrapped around his cerebral cortex while out in Dodger Land.

Fortunately for Penny, while visiting Boston the beastie oozed out of his ear, where Theo Epstein promptly fried it with his hand phaser.
