TEN BUCKS SAYS I LAST LONGER
Yankee legend Yogi Berra and Tigers manager Jim Leyland confer before a recent spring training game. What were they conferring about? If you ask us, it clearly had to do with some sort of a bet. If 10 bucks -- or better yet, an ice cream sundae -- were on the line, who would you bet on? Leyland's got age on his side, but he smokes like a chimney. Berra? Well, he's old but he's still here. They're probably talking about how this recession reminds them of when they were 20 years old during the Great Depression and trying to find work.
