Shawn Hill is a Padre
Just a quick note to check out Chico's post over at Nationals Journal, where he discovered former Nats starting pitcher Shawn Hill has a new team, and it's not the one many thought it would be. Instead, Hill's trying to pitch his way on to the Padres, which isn't a big stretch for a team with low expectations and an open competition throughout the rotation (with the obvious exceptions of Jake Peavy and Chris Young, the former of which could still easily be gone by the trade deadline).
Sorry Toronto. I guess sometime hometown discounts aren't really a significant factor when you're just fighting for a job.

I'm happy for Hill that he got a chance somewhere else. Good luck to him.
