Moment of Levity: The Big Picture

sorianoivy.JPG

TO BE FAIR, THE IVY ON THE RIGHT IS REALLY "353" OR SO

The ivy on the outfield walls may not be as pretty before it starts sprouting, but it does keep things interesting, as it did in a game last week against the Reds, when Alfonso Soriano lost a deep drive in the morass of the wall. Still, it makes you wonder if any balls stuck in there have gone un-recovered, then fallen back out during a later game when a new drive shakes up the vegetation. Anyone ever heard of a two-ball scenario where both looked like they were in play?
