Moment of Levity: The Big Picture
HE MAKES MORE IN A YEAR THAN THEY DID IN A LIFETIME
By and large, this statement is true of handfuls of baseball players when compared with everyday civilians. Yet, when you compare Yankees starter CC Sabathia, the highest-paid pitcher of all-time, to Tuskegee airmen Joseph Spooner and Dabney Montgomery, who might be among the country's most magnanimous historical figures, the contrast becomes particularly skewed. If that doesn't underscore the country's wealth disparity, I don't know what will. (Kathy Willens/AP)
