Moment of Levity: The Big Picture
Sure, this is a pretty great shot, but you know what makes it even better? Check out the raised fist of the one man in this photo wearing a Red Sox hat. That's right, he seems to be cheering for the ball to hit Yankee fans. Amazing. And to think, with an agile move he might have been able to snag this Jacoby Ellsbury foul for himself ...

Closers for AL Cy Young?
This could be as good a year as any to make a case that Mariano Rivera or Jonathan Papelbon should win a Cy Young award. Rivera just broke through the 40 save mark again earlier this week, and he shows no signs of letting up. Even if the Yankees rein him back in to save him for the postseason, it's entirely possible that Rivera could finish the regular season with 45 or 46 saves.

Is the National League Really That Easy?
For years it's been said that National League hitting is inferior to that of the American League but in the past few weeks it seems like pitchers who have recently left the AL for the NL are having their way with the senior circuit.
