Living in Iowa

Former Wisconsin Gov. Tommy Thompson has made visits to Iowa a centerpiece of his campaign, with at least 36 events in the state since January. In fact, Thompson has made public visits to just five states, according to washingtonpost.com's Campaign Tracker.

Thanks to the repeat visits of Thompson and other candidates - Sen. Barack Obama, D-Ill., has held at least 29 events in Iowa, including some previous ones that were just added this week - Iowa has seen at least 230 events, more than New Hampshire (203) and South Carolina (125), the other traditional early primary states.

Nevada, with 43 events, is climbing up the list of states but still trails California and the District of Columbia. You can explore in detail where the candidates have been and are going, and send us details of any events we may have missed. E-mail politicscalendar (at) washingtonpost.com.
