Obama bringing needed change?

At his news conference this morning, President Obama expressed frustration about not being "able to create a greater spirit of cooperation in Washington." It's a complaint shared by most Americans.

Fewer today say the commander-in-chief has brought needed change than at any time in his presidency, according to the new Post-ABC poll. Overall, 44 percent say he has brought needed change. 53 percent, a new high, disagree.

Six months ago, the split was reversed, with 54 percent saying the president had brought needed change to the nation's capital. And in the heady days leading up to his inauguration, a full 76 percent said they expected him to deliver such a shift.

In the past six months, Obama has lost support on this question across the electorate. In March, 60 percent of women said Obama had brought needed change to Washington, compared with 47 percent today. He has seen similar drops on this question among Democrats, independents and college graduates.

Q.Thinking about President Obama, please tell me whether the following statement applies to Obama, or not: He has brought needed change to Washignton.

This poll says it all...Moderate Democrats, College Graduates and Women are all figuring out that the Professor ain't who he said he was.

What is telling is that every category is down, not up! Every single one!

Democrats keep saying they have all the answers, but their policies aren't producing the results they promised. So they blame republicans. And continue to point to the past, instead of looking forward.

It is just sad how Obama can't accept any responsibility for his inability to create jobs, after claiming it would be his top priority!

I am sorry that liberals are also afraid to admit they aren't getting the results they spewed would come!

It is just a sad time in our nation. The party in power has done nothing but continued to drive a wedge between the parties. Their view is it is either our way or the highway. It is just sad. Thanks Obama for bringing around the change that you said you would. You are an utter failure!

My comment is basically two-fold. First, I wonder why the WP continues to have reports on their web sites that have been closed to comments, yet these comments still take up space and time with no, ZERO, interests of the readers. (Seems closely related to how "The Government" treats "We the People", with no concern. PEROID!
Secondly, My own personal beleifs in what Obama has done to change the way our "Government" operates and tends to the needs of the People and the Country, just "SUCKS".
His efforts have been successful in helping to repay his political debts to Corporate America, and their IBO's, (International Bribery Organizations) "We" know them as LOBBISTS.
Our very own elected, as well as re-elected officials are also very much indebted to the same IBO activity as those who basically own Mr Obama's political issues. Repayment activities are the same for these elected officials, as for Mr Obama. They provide up-front "CA$H" and other PERK$" in the disguise as campaign fund$, in return for an elected official's support and votes on any issue that represents the best interests of Corporate America.
For example; The Obama Healthcare SCAM. Sold as a major change "FOR" the American People. Yet, the facts speak otherwise. Adding 44 million peoplewho have pre-existing conditions, yet being at the expense of over 100 million other Americans. At what cost to these same pre-existing conditions? Some estimates at $9,600 per year, "PREMIMUNS ONLY". Who's in charge here?
Say you can't "AFFORD" the cost today. Get prepared, you are goiung to be "FINDED" if you don't buy insurance in the future. Start planning today, cut back on Housing, utilities, food, clothing, travel expenses, including travel to and from work, if you are lucky to have a job at all. Health insurance is a mandatory burden that everyoine will have to face and pruchase. It's a part of the "NEW" Obama healthcare SCAM.

I disagree - he is exactly who he said he was - a professor - not a president, but a professor.

I see a president who is EXACTLY who he said he was, and has accomplished a long list of positives that are not being printed here for some reason. His accomplishments have come IN SPITE OF the ignorance of the republicans, to put politics and their corporate lobbying money AHEAD OF their constituents, and continually vote "NO" on every issue. The obstructionists have TRIED to hold Obama's accomplishments back, but they haven't been entirely successful.

a moderate Democrats, a College Graduate, and a THINKING Woman.

Polls are becoming less and less reliable.

1) Who is the population contacted in this poll?
Land-line users. The demographics of which is largely republican and/or unemployed.

2) what is the margin of error?
Not given.

3) Exactly how was the question phrased?
Not reported.

Any of these three aspects could confound a poll's results and make them unusable, but when all 3 are combined ... well, as an intellectual elitist with a PhD I'd throw such polls out of consideration.

But hey, it makes great "news".

Obama's latest tirade against the GOP is just another campaign speech. The current administration's left-wing policies are now being viewed in the harsh light of reality: The policies are failure!

Also, Obama is using the opportunity to create another federal agency without having to subject the process of "Advise and Consent" of Congress as required by the US Constitution. Pretty much the way the so-called "health reform" debacle was foisted on us, I might add.

OMG = Omaba Must Go!

The Democratic Party is calling for “Labor Unions” now to bail them out in November when the people are about to throw them out for not doing their job. The Democrats hold control in the White House, The Senate and the Congress, yet the largest Unions in this country are in the fight of their life to keep their jobs with the GOVERNMENT (USPS).

Now sure the Republicans will cut wages and benefits, but they tend to EMPLOY people, i.e.… jobs. The Democrats with full control of our government are allowing the elimination of government jobs and the breaking of the Nations Largest Unions. Unions that represent GOVERNMENT workers.

What happens when the country's largest Unions can't negotiate a fair wage and respectable benefits with the Government? Every blue collar worker in this country will be hurt.

Where are the reports on the Postmaster General running the Postal Service broke and eliminating 200,000 jobs. The worst CEO in the history of this country and all the Democratic Government see is a need to cut more jobs. They fired the GM CEO for non performance, but in government CEOs aren't responsible, the employees are?

USPS is in trouble and no one ask the PMG how or why the volume is down? Who is in control while the volume drops and what they did to facilitate or prevent those drops in volume. And maybe why they haven't changed their managing style to get mail volume up again.

The Government is eliminating jobs as I write this, the Democrat controlled Government is eliminating jobs, hundreds of thousands of jobs.

We can't afford to vote democrat! And NO the Republicans are no prize either!
