Welcome to BlogPost, we hope you stay awhile
With the help of a new addiction to triple-shot lattes, I'm up early every morning, and plugged to mine the troves of information online to find the need-to-know, the want-to-know, the should-know news for you to savor through your day (you can learn more about me here).
I want to be the reliable, credible spot for you to find out what people are talking about online, on TV and around their cubicles and why these conversations are percolating.
I'll be touching on topics that surprise us, be it India threatening to ban Blackberries or dramatic exits by flight attendants. I'll be looking for the videos and pictures that should be seen and some that just ought to be seen (everyone needs to watch a dog dance salsa from time to time). If a meme or a rumor--just what do Google's bouncing balls mean?--is gripping the web, I'll work on finding its source and try to explain how it got started in the first place.
I won't be doing this alone. I'll be calling on the experts at the Post to put the latest in perspective. If Snooki suddenly joins the cast of New Jersey Housewives, I'll interview Hank Stuever to find out what that means to our reality. If Bill Gates stops by Good Morning America to announce a hostile takeover of Apple, I'll call up Cecilia Kang to ask what we should do with our iPhones.
And, hopefully, I'll be doing this with you. Since this blog is about news creating conversations, I'll want your input regularly. Tell me what you are thinking and reading. Give your reasoned opinion and weigh in on what others are weighing in on. If there's a story that needs to be explored, shout it out to me on Twitter or on Facebook. If you'd like to talk about something in the news, shoot me an email or let me know in the comments.
There's a whole wide world out there. Let's dive in.
