Turcakey: The most awesome Thanksgiving ever?

By Melissa Bell

First we had the Turducken, the turkey stuffed with duck meat. Then came the Pumpple Cake: apple and pumpkin pies baked inside layers of chocolate and vanilla cake. But now, comes the Turcakey: a masterpiece of food mash-ups.

Amy Wisniewski over at the online food magazine Chow brings the Turkey Cake. Created by layering turkey, sweet potatoes, mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce and gravy, with a marshmallow top, the end result is madness mixed with brilliance.

While I wildly admire the delectable design, I'm not all that impressed by the name -- "Turkey Cake." It just doesn't quite capture the reality. Thankfully, BlogPost pals Amanda Zamora and Michael J. Russell took the debate to Facebook:

Turcakey. Who's making this for Thanksgiving?

(Thanks, Katie!)
