New Year's celebrations have started and we are attempting to track them as they roll across the globe. Sydney, Australia is the first we've added and we'll update as midnight hits the major cities around the world.

New Year's resolutions public figures did and didn't keep in 2010

From the enduring fame of Jersey Shore's Snooki to actor Joaquin Phoenix's fake out, this year was full of surprises from actors, musicians, pundits and political figures. But if incoming House speaker John Boehner's crying teaches us anything, it's that as much as some things change, they also stay the same.
