Conan remakes 'Spider-Man' musical

By Melissa Bell

The debut of Broadway's hugely expensive 'Spider-Man' got off to a rocky start. Production delays caused the show to stop five times on its opening night, leading to one audience member shouting out in protest, and reports of others walking out.

Now worries abound that the $65 million production won't be able to make up for the early negative press. That's where the red-headed hero of late night television, Conan O'Brien, stepped in. He's remade the Julie Taymor and U2 production into a musical of his own. Will it be enough to save the show? With those silly-string webs, I'm betting yes.

Though I suspect Marvel would not back this adaptation, it would turn a profit.
