On the news horizon:

News: They're watching you

The second installment in the Post's Top Secret America dives in to the network of domestic intelligence agencies across the country who have turned the focus inward to watch the U.S. The Department of Homeland Security does not know how much money is spent on these programs and if the information is being shared across local lines. Read about the investigation into this monitoring program here.

Prattle: The New York Times' Cuckolding Column

This is not just professional partisanship: The Post does a much better wedding section than the New York Times. While I scoffed at the sickeningly sweet Times' Vows section that skimmed over the dirtier details, the Post seemed to focus on the odd, the mismatched, the struggling love stories that tell the truth about the wonderful thing called love. The Times had lots of adorable couples getting engaged on carriage rides. This Sunday, though, the Times took a turn from the puff-pastry wedding and went straight into the messy truth of one couple's past.

It's starts with two married couples who were so close they all took family vacations together and ends with one half of each couple falling for each other and breaking up the families to remarry. If the Times wanted to give us something to talk about, it certainly hit the mark on this one.
