Wiki-Roundup: Julian Assange's OkCupid profile, WikiRebels and SNL

"Megalomaniac," "the Scarlet Pimpernel," "hero": Julian Assange has been called many things recently, but the man rarely speaks about himself. It seems that wasn't always so true. A Reddit user found an OkCupid profile under the name "Harry Harrison," with photos of the WikiLeaks founder. If the profile is Assange's, it offers up plenty of tidbits about the man.

The profile, last used in 2006, lists the then-36-year-old as a "passionate, and often pig headed activist intellectual," who was seeking a partner for a "love affair, children and occasional criminal conspiracy." He's also "pretty intellectually and physically pugnacious," and "very protective of women and children." He's also "DANGER, ACHTUNG, and ??????????????!"

OkCupid told the Village Voice that the profile looks legitimate. The online dating service is known for web-savvy PR marketing, particularly surveys that mine its users' data for all sorts of sensational statistics, but the company said Assange's profile was "certainly not a PR stunt."

Check out his full profile here.

Another way to get to know Assange a bit more: a documentary that followed him and the WikiLeaks crew for six months has been leaked online. The four-part documentary can be seen on YouTube (as long as it's still up).

And just for kicks, "Saturday Night Live" presents the WikiLeaks founder from his jail cell:

The more I read about Assange, the more he brings to mind Bill Clinton. I wish Bubba would get behind Wikileaks.
