Mubarak steps down; Egypt erupts in celebration

Vice President Omar Suleiman announced that Hosni Mubarak has stepped down as president of Egypt and handed over power to the Egyptian military. Follow along with the breaking news on the live updates blog.
On Twitter, "Congrats Egypt," became a worldwide trending topic. In Cairo, protesters sent out digital cheers in celebration:
