That intern: The party intern

Jenna Johnson

Today I am kicking off a new, daily feature: That Intern. Every intern class has so many different personalities it is like a Real World cast. And every class has "That Intern" -- as in, "Don't be that intern." Each day I will introduce you to one of those interns.

The party intern is in Adams Morgan every single night -- and puking in the bathroom at least one morning a week. No matter how busy work gets, no matter how tired everyone is from the weekend, no matter how much the intern coordinator threatens, this intern is always up to go out. Who's going to happy hour? The party intern! Who wants to go to Ocean City this weekend? The party intern! Who wants to do J├Ągerbombs at 1 a.m. on a Tuesday? The party intern! Who wants to go to some random house party in College Park, then tag along with strangers to a party in Mount Pleasant, then go dancing at Love, then get Jumbo Slice, then go to another house party in Anacostia, then wake up on some stranger's couch in Arlington? The party intern!

Want to help me stereotype over-worked, under-appreciated, misunderstood interns? Shoot me an e-mail.

Campus Overload is a daily must-read for all D.C. interns. So, make sure to bookmark http://washingtonpost.com/campus-overload.
