That intern: The returning intern
Every intern class has so many different personalities it is like a Real World cast. And every class has "That Intern" -- as in, "Don't be that intern." Each day I introduce you to one of those interns.
The returning intern has already been an intern. Last summer that intern did the same job, meet everyone in the office, made lots of memories, learned so many things -- and then returned for a second summer in order to make all of the "newbie interns" feel completely dumb. Every other sentence that intern utters contains the phrase, "Last summer..." That intern instantly gets all of the more difficult, exciting tasks, because it's easier for the bosses to load up the experienced intern than train the newbie interns. Everyone assumes that intern is the most amazing intern ever, because why else would the bosses choose that intern two summers in a row? But no one has the guts to ask if that intern returned because there were no better options.
