That intern: The social coordinator intern
Every intern class has so many different personalities it is like a Real World cast. And every class has "that intern" -- as in, "don't be that intern." Each day I introduce you to one of those interns.
Thursday night, the entire intern class will join together for dinner on H Street (meet at Union Station 20 minutes beforehand to catch the bus together). Saturday morning everyone needs to meet at the waterfront in Georgetown for canoeing on the Potomac. Then there's brunch Sunday morning, followed by a baseball game. If all of these events were organized by an overeager intern (and not your middle-aged intern coordinator), then you officially have the social coordinator intern in your class. Just try taking over plans for organizing the creation of matching Intern Class of 2010 T-shirts, watch the social coordinator intern's eyes bulge and prepare for an all-out war. Two words: Bring it. (And four words you really shouldn't utter: No one wants T-shirts.)
