#InternDiet Challenge: Day 3

Jenna Johnson

Today is Day 3 of our #InternDiet Challenge.
Keep telling me about the free meals you find via e-mail (johnsonj@washpost.com) or Twitter (use hashtag #interndiet).

Need some help locating free food? Here are a couple ideas:

National Veggie Dog Day, Noon
People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) plans to hand out free veggie chili-dogs for lunch today -- with the help of a men's magazine model and former Playboy model dressed in a chili-pepper bikini. Lunch starts at noon in the Rayburn courtyard at the corner of Independence Avenue and First Street SW. (More info in The Washington Scene. Special thanks to the Scripps Howard intern who told me about this.)

Eden's hour-long open bar, 10 to 11 p.m.
Sorry, this one is just for the ladies. From 10 to 11 p.m. women can drink for free at Eden near the Farragut West Metro stop (1716 I St. NW). But happy hour drink specials last until midnight for everyone. (More info in the Going Out Guide.)

Another ladies night at Polyester, 10 to 11 p.m.
Tonight there's free admission for everyone at Polyester near the McPherson Square Metro station (1413 K St. NW). And women get free Absolut drinks until 11 p.m. Must RSVP online. (More info in GOG.)

Have you found free food in Washington today? Tell the world on Twitter using the hashtag #InternDiet.
