That intern: The over-dressed intern

Jenna Johnson

Every intern class has so many personalities that they could fill a "Real World" cast. And every class has "That Intern" -- as in, "Don't be that intern." Each day I introduce you to one of those interns.

The over-dressed intern is by far the best-dressed person in this entire building -- designer suits, expensive shoes, perfectly selected accessories, immaculate hair and a scent that perfectly fits the mood of the day. That intern never seems to wear the same outfit twice and often reappears at evening gatherings in an entirely new look.

That intern would fit in perfectly on the staff of Vogue. But this is one of those offices where everyone usually just wears jeans. And no matter how many people try to explain that casual atmosphere, that intern always responds: "I am dressing for the job I want, not the job I have!"

Want to help me stereotype over-worked, under-appreciated, misunderstood interns? Shoot me an e-mail.
