Drake brands itself as a D+
Log on to Drake University's admissions site and you are greeted by a giant blue D+. This week officials at the Des Moines college have had to explain over and over exactly what the D+ means.

N.J. college buys a resort to house students
This week Richard Stockton College of New Jersey paid $20 million to buy the historic Seaview Resort, a four-star golf resort and spa. The resort will remain open to the public, but part of the 297-room hotel will be converted into student housing.

CollegeOnly: Like Facebook, minus parents
Last week CollegeOnly launched at a few colleges on the East Coast. It's similar to Facebook but it's only open to college students with verified dot-edu e-mail address.
