College cooking: Chat with our food editor
With Thanksgiving tomorrow, we are moving this week's chat to Wednesday at 1 p.m. I will be joined by the Post's food editor, Joe Yonan, who writes a monthly column all about cooking for one. And he's wrapping up a cookbook called "Serve Yourself: Nightly Adventures in Cooking for One," which will be published in spring 2011.

Thinking about holidays in the dorms made me wonder: Is it even possible to cook an entire traditional Thanksgiving dinner using just a dorm microwave? Is it safe to zap a turkey? I decided to try it for myself Saturday night.
