The first major expense of the second semester is textbooks. The bad news is that they can be expensive and you have to have them. The good news is that you can find them for 40 to 85 percent less than the official price. All you need to do is start exploring various online sites.

Flash mobs break the stress of finals
Flash mobs are all the rage on college campuses, especially during finals. Last week at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, a group of students helped liven up dead week at Love Library with My Chemical Romance's "Teenagers."

'Tis the season for care packages
One of the best parts of the finals season when I was in college was finding a note in my mailbox alerting me that I had received a package. Sure, in this day and age college students love text-messaged photos, e-cards and Facebook messages. But nothing beats old-fashion mail. Especially during finals season.
