Alzner, Godfrey and Bouchard Back to Juniors
Just like the headline says -- defensemen Karl Alzner and Josh Godfrey and winger Francois Bouchard have been returned to their junior teams.
All three players showed what kind of players they can be someday -- which is to say quite good. But they aren't ready to play against grown men just yet.
The decision shouldn't have come as a surprise to any of them.
Update:Still, Alzner left an impression on Coach Glen Hanlon, who said: "You really just look and say there's a huge top end on this guy. He's smart, did all of the things we asked him to do system-wise. He's very composed. He's going to be a really good player."
"You can almost look at him and say here's a really top end player," he continued. "Some of the dynamic offensive players, you never know where they are going to tap out at. You never know if they are going to grasp the whole game to allow themselves to play [in the NHL]. But Karl, he knows how to play. It's just a matter of getting some experience."
