Backstrom No. 1 Star, Ovechkin No. 2 (Updated)

I'm told Nicklas Backstrom has been named the NHL's first star of the week. In four games, Backstrom had two goals and nine assists to help the Capitals go 3-0-1.

Backstrom's linemate, Alex Ovechkin, meantime, was named second star of the week. He had five goals in four games.

Update:Here's the league's release.

I wonder if there is something similar coming for the Bears with their 19 goal weekend. Osala was on fire this weekend.
