Tonight's lineup: Sabres at Caps

By Katie Carrera

The Capitals' game against the Buffalo Sabres at Verizon Center tonight may feature one of the more altered lineups seen all season. After Washington's poor play in the second period in Buffalo this past Saturday, Coach Bruce Boudreau hasn't hesitated to mix things up often. We'll see how long into the game it all lasts.

The switches also include the addition of Boyd Gordon, who is back after missing most of the past three games with a knee injury, and removal of Tomas Fleischmann, who will be a healthy scratch.

Here's what the lineup should look like:

Forwards
Ovechkin-Johansson-Knuble
Laich-Backstrom-Semin
Chimera-Steckel-Bradley
Hendricks-Gordon-Fehr

Defense
Schultz-Green
Alzner-Carlson
Erskine-Sloan

Goal
Neuvirth
Holtby

Scratches: Tomas Fleischmann, D.J. King, Tom Poti (groin).

I have DirecTV and it says it is on Comast Alternative, which isn't HD, but at least it's still on TV.

TO EVERYONE HAVING PROBLEMS VIEWING THE GAME:

refer to the last comment section. Several of us spent all afternoon trying to figure out where the game was being televised. Hopefully, you will find more than enough information, and will be cheering the Caps on along with me. Good luck!

here's what people are saying about direct tv

My Directv schedule shows the game on 786, 786-1, and 787.
I do not see it on the NHL channel, but I am out west.

Found it.

I think this is the problem: By default, when the season approaches, the guide doesn't force all the stations into your favorites list. I had to add 786 and up manually. Mine only had up to 785 and 785-1 and I suspect that this is what happened to other people.

The game is on DirecTV on the 3 stations you just listed... there must not be an HD feed for Buffalo, hence no 787-1.

this comes from people from previous thread, hope it helps
