With all the injuries, the Caps have summoned Karl Alzner, Chris Bourque, Sami Lepisto and Graham Mink from Hershey. All four are on the ice for practice.

More in a bit.

Holy crap! This is awesome!

I would guess that unless they clear some serious cap space via trade, some of these guys will only be used in practice.

er, let the reign begin...

Good night Irene! Where'd all that cap space come from???

Who cares? At least we'll have functional, good, healthy players playing tonight!

Sure looks like something would have to happen for all of that. Tonight's game gets more interesting by the minute.

The online chat should be pretty lively.

awesome stuff.

could this mean a trade is going to happen? that's a lot of cap space these guys just took up.

Could be an interesting day...

Maybe there was more cap space than they were letting on...just in case there was a glut of injuries in the early going...

Posted by: R617 | November 26, 2008 10:04 AM | Report abuse

not trying to be negative...

but just cause they are at practice dosent mean they are in the lineup, or are even called up...theyre just at practice...however it does look like they will be up for the weekend, which is good for the caps, terrible for hershey, we dont have a team to put on the ice tonight, haha

o well go caps, go bears

Or maybe they're shipping off some of the dead weight! I can just imagine Tarik flying around Kettler looking for answers! Go Tarik, go!

Not to rain on the parade, but I'm hoping with all the Alzner hype, he doesn't end up being another Brendan Witt.

@ BearsWoooo...
Is that true about Clark? Or guessing?

@BearsWooo---NM--just refreshed and saw it...

I guess the guys running these franchises are not as dumb as some of our illustrious posters think they are. I said it before, money will never stop a GM from making a move if he thinks it is best for the team.
Lets hope for a good showing from the guys coming up, personally, I am not expecting miracles, but there are a few posters who will pound on them if they even make a bad pass.
