Posted by: rachel216 | September 11, 2009 3:18 PM | Report abuse

Is it the same feed through the Caps website as it is through the flyers? It wont connect through the Caps, but I got it through the flyers.

Posted by: Fro_ | September 11, 2009 3:18 PM | Report abuse

I'm not getting the stream at home either.

Posted by: wocoliz | September 11, 2009 3:19 PM | Report abuse

Posted by: NatyBG | September 11, 2009 3:21 PM | Report abuse

Posted by: thiazzi | September 11, 2009 3:24 PM | Report abuse

There was good fight too. Couldnt tell who it was on the Caps, but he dropped the flyer with 1 shot- dude got up (mistake) and the Cap continued to impose his will upon him.

Posted by: Fro_ | September 11, 2009 3:26 PM | Report abuse

Posted by: dcsportsfan1 | September 11, 2009 3:27 PM | Report abuse

anyone got any numbers to go with names? not that i can see the numbers anyway...

Posted by: dcsportsfan1 | September 11, 2009 3:29 PM | Report abuse

Audio seems to work on Caps site Video and Audio on flyers.....2-1 Flyers

Posted by: ChiCaps | September 11, 2009 3:30 PM | Report abuse

Flyers just scored on a deflection, dont know who but it is now 2-1 Flyers

Posted by: whsqb10 | September 11, 2009 3:30 PM | Report abuse

Anybody know how old this rink is? I'm thinking it might be a place we used to play at for travel tournaments when I was a kid..

Posted by: thiazzi | September 11, 2009 3:33 PM | Report abuse

@ thiazzi

I thought this was a relatively new practice rink for the Flyers, but I could be wrong.

Posted by: TheVampireCorndog | September 11, 2009 3:35 PM | Report abuse

How am I suppose to see anything with that angle????? UGHHH

Posted by: rachel216 | September 11, 2009 3:36 PM | Report abuse

First period just ended. Still 2-1 Flyers, but the Caps will start the second on the power play with about 4 minutes remaining on a 5-minute major.

Posted by: wocoliz | September 11, 2009 3:37 PM | Report abuse

End of 1, 2-1 Flyers. Caps in the middle of a 5 minute power play.

Posted by: freakinandpeakin | September 11, 2009 3:39 PM | Report abuse

I Understand that only 49 of the 75 Comcast SportsNet games will be in HD.
This sucks, Comcast sucks, this is not 1999.

Posted by: jmy999 | September 11, 2009 3:39 PM | Report abuse

Prospects love subway..

Posted by: thiazzi | September 11, 2009 3:40 PM | Report abuse

it only works if you click a certain way. DON'T click the red "live game" button. Instead click the arrow next to the "watch" button.

Posted by: WhyGo | September 11, 2009 3:40 PM | Report abuse

what was the major penalty for? i missed that.

Posted by: dcsportsfan1 | September 11, 2009 3:40 PM | Report abuse

I don't know why it will not work unless you click the "watch" intead of the big red "live game" button, but whatever.....

Posted by: WhyGo | September 11, 2009 3:42 PM | Report abuse

jmy,
no doubt its because the wiz are on the same night. can someone explain why it is so difficult to broadcast the games in HD on CSNplus? cant be equipment related. same things happen w/ MASN when the O's and Nats play on the same night...

Posted by: dcsportsfan1 | September 11, 2009 3:44 PM | Report abuse

penalty was high sticking - Kugryshev bloodied.

The feed is the same on both sites. I was able to get it working on the Caps site by going through the menu to 365 Media Player, then clicking it on the right menu (LiveWire) - it pops up a new window.

The fight was Jasinsky vs Clarkson.

There was good fight too. Couldnt tell who it was on the Caps, but he dropped the flyer with 1 shot- dude got up (mistake) and the Cap continued to impose his will upon him.

i think the Cap was Ryan Jasinsky. He's a big kid, actually the Caps dressed a pretty fiesty lineup with Bruess, Finley, Jasinsky, Dubuc, Mitchell, etc and then of course you have big kids like Casavant and Hauswirth in there as well. Broda's a kid who has size but hates to use it, ugh

Posted by: cstanton1 | September 11, 2009 3:51 PM | Report abuse

JVR is so good. He will definetely be pushing for a spot with the Flyers this season.

Posted by: richmondphil | September 11, 2009 3:52 PM | Report abuse

should see about 2-4 more fights in this game. Expect Garret Mitchell to drop them as well.

Posted by: cstanton1 | September 11, 2009 3:52 PM | Report abuse

numbers anyone?

Posted by: dcsportsfan1 | September 11, 2009 3:55 PM | Report abuse

kolbe: "caps going left to right" no actually they are going from top to bottom...

Posted by: dcsportsfan1 | September 11, 2009 3:56 PM | Report abuse

I still can't get it, any ideas?

Posted by: NatyBG | September 11, 2009 3:57 PM | Report abuse

Penalty shot against Holtby fails.

Posted by: thiazzi | September 11, 2009 3:58 PM | Report abuse

flyers penalty shot...no goal. watching this is like looking through a keyhole...is erin andrews there?

Posted by: dcsportsfan1 | September 11, 2009 3:58 PM | Report abuse

Eakin scores on powerplay. 2-2

Posted by: thiazzi | September 11, 2009 3:59 PM | Report abuse

Naty, I changed browsers to IE and clicked on "watch", and it's working fine now. BTW, Caps just scored to tie the game at 2.

Posted by: wocoliz | September 11, 2009 3:59 PM | Report abuse

Thanks!

Posted by: NatyBG | September 11, 2009 4:03 PM | Report abuse

3-2 Flyers... >:(

Posted by: hbcapsfan | September 11, 2009 4:04 PM | Report abuse

That has to be the worst camera angle on record... :(

Posted by: Greg S. | September 11, 2009 4:13 PM | Report abuse

Oh, and um. Go Stretch!

Posted by: Greg S. | September 11, 2009 4:15 PM | Report abuse

Caps score on a 3-on-0. Carlson to Dubuc.

Posted by: thiazzi | September 11, 2009 4:24 PM | Report abuse

4-3 after a nice Caps' 3-on-0, PP goal

Posted by: AleksanderOMunchkin | September 11, 2009 4:25 PM | Report abuse

3-4 Flyers.. Carlson just made a nice play and assist

Posted by: hbcapsfan | September 11, 2009 4:25 PM | Report abuse

4-3 now, still in Philly's favor. Carlson continues to impress.

Posted by: Desu | September 11, 2009 4:26 PM | Report abuse

3-5 Flyers.. :(

Posted by: hbcapsfan | September 11, 2009 4:28 PM | Report abuse

Adam Morrison is starting for the Flyer in goal, he still got that long hair and a great jump shot?

Posted by: RichC3 | September 11, 2009 4:42 PM | Report abuse

ZING!

Posted by: superpaqman | September 11, 2009 4:54 PM | Report abuse

6-3 :(

Posted by: ChiCaps | September 11, 2009 4:59 PM | Report abuse

Holtby I am unimpressed.

Posted by: Desu | September 11, 2009 5:01 PM | Report abuse

Yea, I too am not impressed by Holtby's showing today (though I can't actually see it I am reading 2nd hand accounts through the interwebs), especially after Stretch gave him so much praise on the show this past Wednesday.

Posted by: superpaqman | September 11, 2009 5:07 PM | Report abuse

7-3 Flyers now. How depressing.

Posted by: Desu | September 11, 2009 5:15 PM | Report abuse

Glad I didn't watch, it sounds painful!

Posted by: NatyBG | September 11, 2009 5:17 PM | Report abuse

Yikes. At least it wasn't 7-0 like what we did to them last year.

Posted by: TheVampireCorndog | September 11, 2009 5:29 PM | Report abuse

Thank god we have Varly and Neuvy. So we never have to see Holtby and Leonhardt..

Posted by: rachel216 | September 11, 2009 5:34 PM | Report abuse

I wouldn't overanalyze this performance by Holtby, he's been nothing but great besides this game. He still has a good future I think.

Posted by: TheVampireCorndog | September 11, 2009 5:38 PM | Report abuse

@TheVampireCorndog

Man, you spoil their fun... ;)

Posted by: Greg S. | September 11, 2009 5:45 PM | Report abuse

Can't all be negative here can we? Haven't posted all summer, good to have some Caps hockey to talk about.

Posted by: TheVampireCorndog | September 11, 2009 5:47 PM | Report abuse

God bless to all family and friends who suffered losses on this day 8 years ago. The worst thing of all is all the children who were left parentless after this tragedy. Never forget, please never forget.

JVR is so good.

Posted by: richmondphil | September 11, 2009 3:52 PM |

Don't blame Holtby.
