Clark Passes First 'Test' of Camp

By completing today's strenuous training camp session without a hint of pain, Chris Clark just passed the first of what will be a series of tests this preseason.

"I passed one test, but the bigger test will be tomorrow, when there's more puck battles and a scrimmage," said Clark, who, of course, is referring to his recovery from a groin tendon injury that forced him to miss most of last season. "That's the next big step, tomorrow's scrimmage. Then after that will be games."

If they don't trade Clark soon, they will regret it.

TEB,
Backstrom have any other problems "weighing" on him, that you care to report ?

"good is not good enough"? how profound.
It's perfect with "rock the red".

Tarik,

any news on Backstrom? I am assuming that he just went off because the drills boudreau was going to run would be stressful on an ankle (stop, start, stop, start)

Hopefully, he did not aggravate it

Chief,

Have you heard something about the kids weight? Remember, he is young, so he could have actually gained some muscle

Chief, my sympathy on the burden of your genius whilst being surrounded by us mortals. The ultimate cruelty is of course the bitter realization that no one will pay you just to sit around and 'think smart thoughts' let alone give you the worship you so deserve. Oh, the humanity.

Yeah, lets trade our captain right before the beginning of camp. Trade clarkie, are you kidding me????

Chief clearly is not in to chemistry.

Lame Duck Captain.

Chemistry ?
You mean inserting a player that had no part in the big push last season ?
Yeah, what was I thinking.

I have nothing against Clark, I think he's a great blue collar player that will benefit many teams. He needs a fresh start.

That's still not as good as the person that was saying we should trade Feds a month after signing him as a free agent? At least they could have said we shouldn't have signed him, that's a valid opinion (even if I don't agree) and wouldn't have been such an illogical statement.

That makes sense, but then I don't know how the team feels (they just don't keep in touch anymore). But, it's not like they didn't see him off the ice now and then when he was injured. If the players still feel he's their leader than he is. If AO is out for a few months one season should we trade him too?

Comparing a league MVP to a blue collar player confirms the ignorance I suspected.

Chief, I know not to wrestle with a pig, but I gotta ask.....who can they trade Clark for? Clark really has too many question marks to get anything in return for him....particularly at his salary.

I think the better course of action is try to showcase his skills (and Kozlov's) and try to shop either one (or both) for a solid, stay at home defender.

But wait....you weren't really advocating a course of action....you were try to rile folks up, weren't you?
