First Period Thoughts
*If not for an unlucky bounce, the game would still be 0-0. But unfortunately for the Caps, unlucky bounces count and they're down 1-0.
*Biron is on. He was outstanding, stopping 12 shots, including one on Ovechkin from point blank range.
*The Caps had two power plays late in the period, but mustered only two shots. That's not good enough.
