Four Minutes to Forget
The Caps were out-played for long stretches in the first period, but they managed to hang in there. Until the final four minutes, that is. I don't remember a worse stretch since Bruce Boudreau took over.
Goals by Briere, Hartnell and Kapanen will send the Flyers into the second up 3-1. The haunting image of the opening period, though, was defenseman Milan Jurcina's turnover deep in the Washington zone that led to the Flyers' third goal. That was a benchable offense.
On a positive note, Fehr got his first career playoff tally.
