Green's Favorite Stick Has Arrived
Remember the little story I wrote earlier today about Mike Green breaking the last of his favorite sticks in Game 1? And how there's just one Mike Green edition Easton Stealth remaining in the world, and how it was earmarked for the Hall of Fame?
Well, it's in the house here at Mellon Arena, I'm told. Turns out the stick was at Kettler Capitals Iceplex awaiting shipping to Toronto, so a couple of team employees drove it up here with them this afternoon.
It's unclear whether Green will play with the stick, but I'm willing to bet that he will.

Let's hope that stick has at least a few more games of magic left in it.

I'd like to think that stick has at least 15 more goals in it. Let's GOO Caps!

So far Green was afraid to shoot the puck whatever stick he plays with.

i am really regretting the days off that gabby gave. i think he should have been giving specific feedback to specific players.

Oh for Gretsky's sake. Is this Thurman Thomas' helmet? Tonya Harding's skates malfuncdtioning?
Gee, if only he had had a chance to practice.

A friend had an interesting theory tonight. Did someone somewhere piss Greenie off? He plays like he just doesn't care and it seems very deliberate. He gets the puck but then he doesn't move. I have a hard time believing that he's fallen that far off his game because of a stick.

Fun story Tarik.
You better believe the Pens are going to try to take it away from him.
Let's go Caps!
