Green's MRI Comes Back Negative
The MRI on Mike Green's right shoulder did not reveal any structural damage, General Manager George McPhee said moments ago. McPhee said the defenseman is listed as day-to-day.
While there is not timetable for his return, Green was walking around the dressing room after the game without the sling he had worn the previous 24 hours. That alone is good news for the Caps, who suffered an ugly 5-2 loss to a Kings team they probably should have beaten.
"There's no major injury with a really bad bruise," McPhee said. "We were worried about that one, worried about a labral tear or rotator cuff, or something. But it's nothing like that."
