Kozlov Close

I'm hearing right wing Viktor Kozlov (sprained left knee) is recovering a little faster than expected, and barring any setbacks, will travel with the Caps next week. The hope is that he'll be ready to get back into the lineup at some point on the Calgary-Phoenix-Dallas road trip that begins Tuesday at the Saddledome.

i have had to miss a few games. are the knee/ groin injuries to the team due to the ice again?

Reposted as I'm clearly an idiot who can't see the most recent post.

"Anyone with any streaming links for tonight would suddenly become my new best friend.

Plus I could have a word with Queenie about sorting you out with an honourary knighthood."

@jim*

No. Kozlov's injury was due to a clean check...

Poti's injury was early in the game in PIT. Doubt it was due to ice.

JSchon,

You going tonight?

Posted by: Steve R | October 18, 2008 5:10 PM | Report abuse

Hey Steve... Hadn't planned on it...

I kinda have a birthday party tonight to go to...

Posted by: JSchon | October 18, 2008 5:16 PM | Report abuse

@JSchon,

I would hesitate to call a check that occurs across ice from the play a "clean check"

Posted by: Jordan | October 18, 2008 5:38 PM | Report abuse

I wouldn't call it dirty either... It looked innocent enough, could have been a penalty but not dirty.

Posted by: JSchon | October 18, 2008 5:40 PM | Report abuse

I think its imperative that we do not start off slow against NJ. Hit'em in the jaw early.

Posted by: JSchon | October 18, 2008 5:56 PM | Report abuse

And since I wont be able to watch the third period... I'd like to see 3 - 1 going into it.

thanks for the info, JSchon.

Where the eff is Joe B? Gawd.

Posted by: Jordan | October 18, 2008 7:01 PM | Report abuse

The "HD" picture is horrible for the game.

Posted by: nadir | October 18, 2008 7:13 PM | Report abuse

What in the hell is going on with the TV feed?

Posted by: Jordan | October 18, 2008 7:17 PM | Report abuse

Okay, Jordan - at least it's not just me. This sucks.

Posted by: RobMonroe | October 18, 2008 7:17 PM | Report abuse

Nice.... lose sound then lose the picture and miss the goal.

Posted by: nadir | October 18, 2008 7:17 PM | Report abuse

Us standard def people are getting only a terrible audio feed with a big honking graphic! I missed the damn goal!

Posted by: Jordan | October 18, 2008 7:18 PM | Report abuse

I'm on HD and have the same thing. Now it's back. Didn't they have sucky coverage at the start of last season?

Posted by: RobMonroe | October 18, 2008 7:19 PM | Report abuse

I've tried and tried with the streaming video....ugh!!! More irritating than an itchy hemorrhoid. Back to Kolbe on NHL radio. Would have been nice to see Semin. Yes !

Posted by: Pivo | October 18, 2008 7:19 PM | Report abuse

Joe Beninotti was arrested on child porn charges and is locked away

Posted by: J | October 18, 2008 7:20 PM | Report abuse

Re-reading y last post....please no comments on using hemorrhoid and Semin in the same post. Happened to score just before I hit "submit."

Posted by: Pivo | October 18, 2008 7:21 PM | Report abuse

Yeah, the picture is terrible.

But Ray Bourque is there! That's pretty cool.

Posted by: RobMonroe | October 18, 2008 7:25 PM | Report abuse

Im sick and tired of Erskine. Horrible, letting a kid out position him.

Posted by: JSchon | October 18, 2008 7:33 PM | Report abuse

@RM

One of the clowns on the streaming broadcast remarked that Bourque had George Lucas' hair style. Pretty funny.....

Posted by: Pivo | October 18, 2008 7:38 PM | Report abuse

Funny but true.

Caps need to get the PP back in order....Kind of woeful.

Posted by: nadir | October 18, 2008 7:43 PM | Report abuse

Agreed Nadir, PP is shambolic. OV seems to be pressing....

Posted by: Pivo | October 18, 2008 7:47 PM | Report abuse

I agree guys... OV is pressing... He had a similar non-scoring streak last season.

Good thing Semin is playing possessed.

Posted by: JSchon | October 18, 2008 7:53 PM | Report abuse

I'v always thought Semin could score 50, and iv got a good feeling about that prediction

Posted by: Hensmith | October 18, 2008 7:58 PM | Report abuse

I wish me and my cold were in my seat at the Booth instead of having to deal with Koken and Hillary.

The intermission interview was a joke. She acted as if Bourque was 12 and had never played an NHL game before. I'm not even sure what that clip of her with Feds was before the puck drop.

Posted by: keef | October 18, 2008 7:59 PM | Report abuse

Weaksauce PP there.

OV needs new skates. He can't stay on his feet.

Posted by: nadir | October 18, 2008 8:08 PM | Report abuse

Ray Bourque is great and all, but I don't give a flying crap about what he has to say during a PK!

Posted by: Jordan | October 18, 2008 8:16 PM | Report abuse

Money save right there.

Posted by: nadir | October 18, 2008 8:18 PM | Report abuse

Lisa Hillary is soooo annoying. Who writes her questions?

Posted by: JSchon | October 18, 2008 8:19 PM | Report abuse

Funny how they can show Ray Bourque in HD, but not the game.

Johnson coming up big so far in this 5-on-3.

Posted by: nadir | October 18, 2008 8:19 PM | Report abuse

Johnson's our #1, so far this season.

And Comcast, ugh

Posted by: H23 | October 18, 2008 8:22 PM | Report abuse

Hello All!

Just got access to post but have been watching since the drop.

Yeah BJ!!!

I'm not thinking BJ is taking the #1 job yet but his performance should raise the bar for both.

Yeah baby, 5-3, let's do it!!!!

Posted by: BernieWolfeFan | October 18, 2008 8:24 PM | Report abuse
