Lineup Remains the Same
I'm told that center Boyd Gordon (back spams) took the morning skate, but was dressed with the scratches. So it doesn't appear that he's going to play tonight against the Islanders.
Alexander Semin (sprained right ankle) skated on his own and appears to be making some progress. He's on IR, though, and also won't play tonight. He remains questionable for Saturday's game against the Pens. Actually, I would be very surprised if he's able to go.
So here, again, is what I expect the forward combos to look like:
Ovechkin-Kozlov-Motzko
Backstrom-Nylander-Fleischmann
Pettinger-Laich-Clark
Brashear-Steckel-Bradley
Defense:
Poti-Green
Jurcina-Morrisonn
Pothier-Schultz
Kolzig will start.
