Tonight's lineup: Islanders at Caps

Michal Neuvirth (2.62 GAA, .916 save percentage) gets his fourth consecutive start Wednesday night and will oppose Islanders veteran netminder Dwayne Roloson, who is making his season debut.

This is the Islanders' first road game of 2010-11 and they will face the Capitals without several players including James Wisniewski (suspended), Mark Streit (shoulder), John Tavares (concussion), Kyle Okposo (shoulder) and Rob Schremp (back). And you thought the Caps had injury concerns.

Based on warm-up it looks as though we will see Tomas Fleischmann centering a line with Alex Ovechkin and Mike Knuble while Nicklas Backstrom will skate with Brooks Laich and Alexander Semin -- for the start of the game anyway.

Here's what the lineup should look like:

Forwards
Ovechkin-Fleischmann-Knuble
Laich-Backstrom-Semin
Chimera-Hendricks-Fehr
King-Steckel-Gordon

Defense
Schultz-Green
Sloan-Alzner
Erskine-Carlson

Goal
Neuvirth
Sabourin

Hesitant to post here, will there be an open thread?

Why not combine the lineups with the open thread?

Chimera-Hendricks-Fehr
King-Steckel-Gordon

-------------

that's as close to a decent bottom 6 as I've seen here in a long time.

Gordo on the wing needs to finish his checks and play a gutsier game than he gets away with when he's playing center.

I hope the Isles bring their "Lunch Pail" game tonight. I expect them to pound us on the forecheck and basically try to out hustle us.

Match their effort and we win the game!

GO CAPS!!!!

Repost from previous thread:

"that's why when a person gets convicted of ATTEMPTED murder its usually punished as severely as if the crime was successfully committed."

That's actually not true. But I do agree with your general premise on how punishment/suspension should be handed out in the NHL.
