What did Laich mean by calling BMo shifty?
Posted by: richmondphil
i took it to mean he thought BMo did not want to get hit on the ice - shifty skating

I would interpret it more as BMo is difficult to hit on the ice - when you think you have him lined up he gets out of the way and you go crashing into the boards. Did not want to get hit doesn't really sound like a compliment, and I wouldn't expect Laich to take a shot at BMo since they're new teammates and will likely skate on the same line... Plus, Laich's too nice for that.

Anyone know what the practice schedule is after today? I went thru the Caps site in detail but couldn't find it.

That leaves two roster spots open come October 1st. Flash and Fehr.

Tarik: Was Flash able to do any off-season workouts with this injury or can he only start to work out now? His illness last year really affected him and I was hoping that he could regain his fitness level from the beginning of last year. It just seems that Flash can never catch a break health-wise. Also, how were you able to see practice with the crowd of people in front of the area where you were sitting?

Well it is just a deep vein thrombosis, or DVT. They can be fatal actually, but rarely ever get to that point. DVT is quite common on long flights, and it is sometimes dubbed the "economy class sickness", since it happens on long flights.
I wouldn't put that much stock into it affecting him too much though. But I agree, seems like more bad luck for Flash.

Great so Nylander has no intention of playing in Europe. Nice. So much for that cap space.
